Why We Partnered with JadeYoga

Jack Utermoehl

Yoga unites body, mind and spirit, and at Asivana Yoga we strive to offer products that support that unity. We partner with brands that share our commitment to sustainability, community and mindful craftsmanship. JadeYoga fits seamlessly into this vision.

Founded by a former lawyer for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, JadeYoga’s number‑one priority is making eco‑friendly yoga products. Their mats are made from natural rubber tapped from rubber trees, and for every mat sold they plant a tree through a partnership with Trees for the Future.

With over two million trees planted so far, JadeYoga shows how a simple yoga mat can make a big difference. In this article we explore what makes JadeYoga special, highlight three mats we love and explain why we are proud to welcome them to our curated collection.

What Makes JadeYoga Special

Natural rubber is the cornerstone of JadeYoga’s mats. Unlike synthetic PVC or EVA, natural rubber is renewable and biodegradable. Jade mats are produced in the United States, ensuring compliance with U.S. environmental, labor and consumer laws. Because of this, JadeYoga can closely monitor quality and provide mats free from toxins and harmful chemicals.

Planting Trees With Every Purchase

JadeYoga believes in giving back to the earth. For every mat sold, they plant a tree through their long‑standing partnership with Trees for the Future. This initiative has already planted over two million trees, turning each purchase into a gesture of stewardship. Special mat colors released at different times of the year raise money for causes like breast cancer research, autism awareness and ovarian cancer support.

Community Partnerships and Social Impact

Through their Community Partners program, JadeYoga donates mats to schools, prisons, hospitals and shelters. They encourage organizations to apply for grants, helping bring yoga to people who might not otherwise have access to it. This emphasis on service reflects our own value of Seva using yoga to uplift others.

Products We Love

Made from natural rubber tapped from rubber trees, it offers exceptional grip and comfort without PVC, EVA or other synthetic materials. Its insulative thickness makes it ideal for restorative practices, plus every purchase plants a tree.

Voyager Travel Yoga Mat - The Voyager is JadeYoga’s thinnest, lightest and most portable mat. It folds up to about the size of a yoga block, making it perfect for packing in a suitcase or backpack. At 1/16 inch thick, 24 inches wide and 68 inches long, it weighs just over 1.5 pounds. Natural rubber provides reliable grip, while its non‑toxic, U.S.‑made construction ensures peace of mind. Jade plants a tree for every Voyager sold.
